Production Manager, Sheetmetal, New Perth Factory, near Bibra Lake

A mechanical services business is opening a new sheetmetal facility near Bibra Lake, south of Perth, and is looking for a Production Manager to run it. $120,000 to $140,000 plus super.

This is a build from the ground up. The plant is new, the team is being hired now, and full production is planned for early 2027. You would set the way the shop runs rather than inherit someone else’s.

What the role covers

• Daily production across fabrication and assembly, roughly twelve staff once the team is complete.

• Scheduling and throughput against project programmes.

• Quality, safety and plant maintenance on the floor.

• Building and developing the team through the ramp up.

What we are looking for

• Sheetmetal or light fabrication background, trade qualified or equivalent hands on experience.

• Experience running a production team, ideally through a growth or setup phase.

• Comfortable with production scheduling and reading fabrication drawings. Ductwork or HVAC manufacturing is an advantage, not a requirement.

The role starts before Christmas. Full time, permanent.
